Surrounded by charming historical buildings, banks of Ljubljanica river are the heart and soul of Ljubljana. As well as the favorite spot for locals to catch sun rays and sip their drinks. It's fully pedestrianized, you can also take a boat tour. Best time to visit is May through September, and around December holidays.

The river runs right through Ljubljana, and the setting is stunning. Its pretty interesting to hear that the river is a popular place for treasure hunters and archeologists, and that over 10,000 relics from as early as the Stone Age have been round in this river....pretty interesting!
