Sep 4, 2008 Good climbing mountain, me and my bro started to work our way up to the base of the actual head part witch took a couple hours, was fun though, we found a rope swing tied to a tree about half way up and started swinging on it, by the time we got to the base of the head of the mountain we were exhausted and forgot to take water with us so we never went to the top :( n then we found that there was an actuall track that lead up to the base which we didn't take on the way up because we didn't see it so it was quite handy using the actuall walking track rather than trecking through the scrub :) but definitely a must to do and the view is quite nice from up there. Jan 14, 2009 Must do attraction if you visit Cape Town over full moon. Walk the summit of Lions Head to watch the rise of the moon. Many fellow travellers and locals join it monthly for this spectacular event. If you miss full moon, don't worry. It is definetly still worth walking up for a sundowner drink. (bring the drink on your own, there is no bar)
