The Lion Park is located about 20km northeast of Krugersdorp (and about 25km north of Johannesburg) and is home to close to 100 lions (including the rare white lions) as well as other animals such as leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest, giraffes, and zebras.

Created in 1966, the Lion Park is divided into two areas - one for herbivores, and the other for carnivores.  While the herbivores are allowed to roam, the carnivores are separated into pride/clan by fences in order to prevent them from fighting with each other over territory.   Options for visiting include a guided game drive (195 rand for adults) or a self-drive (130 rand for adults).  This includes a visit to Cub World where one can interact with lion cubs.  Many of the animals at the Lion Park also have been involved in filming (for commercials and entertainment) as the Lion Park has an experienced team for that.
