From Thohoyandou drive north to Sibasa and proceed straight to Makonde and ask round about. The village is on the west of Makonde. Matangari is a farming village where furrow irrigation is used. The farming community supply vegetables to other villages around and the nearby town. The community is lead by the traditional leader Mr George Nyamande.There is 2 primary schools and 1 secondary school. The only sports facilities available are for football.
