South Africa's largest and most famous park, Kruger National Park was established in 1898 by South African president Paul Kruger.  The park features a healthy population of the Big Five, and has most species of mammals than any other African Game Reserve.

This is a place that needs more than one days attention due to it´s massive size.  The best time I had when I went there was at dawn, you could see hyenas and impala lounging around so close to your car you could touch them if you dared, not a wise thing to do though.  And ofcourse the earlier you get in the park the more likely you are to see nocturnal animals before they disappear with the rising sun.  There are resturaunts and campgrounds inside the park and it´s beauty is beyond description.
This is a great location which cannot be missed for any animal lover travelling in Africa.

Beautiful experience! You need to wake up VERY early to see the exotic animals.... :-) Really worth it! You need at least 4 days!
