Sep 2, 2008 Not a bad place to visit and is a UNESCO World Heritage. I believe that a TV showed is filmed there and at certain times of the day, certain events are re-enacted. Other than providing an insight into Korean history, the place is a bit boring (especially if you've been to a lot of Chinese monuments/palaces/tombs). Near the subway station, the KTG building is about a block away. On the 2nd floor is the Paran; they serve Shabu Shabu, which is a wonderful Korean-style buffet. The bus station also has a shop that serves an interesting curry that includes the Korean foods kimchi and bulgogi. Mar 1, 2009 As walled cities go, this one is relatively compact, and the whole circuit can be walked in one outing. It has a fair amount of hill climbing so some measure of fitness is required. Near the north wall is a Korean archery range - it's worth stopping to watch if there are people out there. The length of the range is amazing - it's hard to imagine how people hit the targets, but they do! An odd additional highlight is the quality of the public bathrooms around the fortress...odd, but welcome in any event.
