OK, Kyongju is known because it was the capital of the Shilla dynasty and has many historic sites which will take about a day to visit; our tour guide was a bit odd because other than "i don't speak any English", she (pretended to?) did not speak any English, but she had a DVD in the bus which told us the most important things about the places we visited. The highlight, however, came after the tour while we were waiting for the train back to Seoul. Strolling around the area around the railwaystation, we detected a very cool local market in one of the side streets - freshest fish, meat, gimpaps and so on - as we were the only foreigners there, we turned into quite an attraction :-) Great for picture taking and for buying food for the trip back to Seoul!
