This tree-lined square used to be a swap but in the 16th century it got turned into a promenade. It names comes from the two pillars at the southern end who where taken from the Roman temple dedicated to Hercules. In recent times the red/light district costly make/overs have turned it once again into a fashionable area.

The perfect place to go for a early evening stroll, good place to start the tapa-tour, lots of bars, restaurants and places to hang out. Each end has a cool kind of fountain that sprays a fine mist into the air. Walking through this is the way to cool down.

One of the most beautiful and historically interesting cities I've visited - I would highly recommend visiting Sevilla.
