Aug 12, 2008 The park is a wonderful place to stroll through and get lost in a while. My favorite spot is a small shady spot with a big tree surrounded by sculptures. On one side of the tree are three seated ladies seemingly gossiping with each other. On the other side is a bust of the famous Spanish romance poet Bequer with a cupid-like figure sprawled beneath him with a dagger sticking in his side. (It signifies the death of romance with the death of the poet.) The three ladies somehow always have fresh flowers laid in their laps or their hands. It's just a very beautiful scene, especially in the springtime. There are benches nearby and it is a gated area so bring a book and a thermos and enjoy yourself. The park overall is beautiful with fountains, foliage, and sculptures everywhere. Jul 29, 2009 If you're in dire need for some greenery this is the spot to be. Giant park full of funny and endearing little corners. Perfect for a late afternoon stroll. You can still find some buildings used during the World Fair, some of them are used as museums now. Check out the archaeological museum if you plan to visit Italica. Sep 16, 2008 Gorgeous park with peacocks and white doves wild and everywhere. There is a lovely little restaurant at the park entrance where one can eat tapas and sip sherry or a tinto. Nov 1, 2008 Large parque in the centre of Sevilla. A lot of cosy corners, fountains, an oasis of green in the city!
