Historical Square
The main city plaza in A Coruña, la Plaza de María Pita, is named after the woman who is credited for sounding the alarm during Sir Francis Drake's attack on the city in 1589.  The grand square features a main entrance that is approached from the harbourside, featuring the Placio Municipal an ornate building featuring three bronze-clade domes and intricate detailing, including a long colonnaded archway, chambers and meeting rooms, and a clock museum.  A number of other interconnected buildings are also found in the plaza.

This is the biggest square in A Courńa. Much is happening there during summer- some street performances, etc. Also it's worth paying a visit to one of its restarurants.
