Jan 18, 2012 When Spain won the World Cup, I got to see people swarming the streets and dancing in this Fountain. There were near riots in the streets. It was a wonderful site to see. They have a parade here for kids every Jan. 5th for Three Kings Day with fireworks that I would recommend passing by. Madrid is beautiful during the holiday season. Cold, but a dry, tolerable cold. Nov 25, 2008 this is by far my favorite monument in Madrid. not only because of its beauty but also because of the emotional connection i feel with it because of a beautiful song by Spanish singer and actress Ana Belen about the statue crying when a fugitive from a mental institution is caught by the police. you will love the place even if you don´t know the song of course :) Jul 13, 2011 The monumental Cibeles Fountain has become a Madrid icon. Located in the heart of the city, it shows Cybele, the Greek goddess of fertility and nature holding a sceptre and a key while being pulled by two lions on a chariot. The pull of the wild lions symbolize the power of nature or of the goddess. Nov 5, 2011 Lugar imperdível em Madrid, marca a entrada da Gran Via. Local onde ocorrem vários eventos da cidade, desde manifestações políticas, religiosas, cívicas. Está entre o paseo do Prado e a Castellana
