The Northern Spanish city of Pamplona is best known for the annual San Fermin Festival (including the Running of the Bulls) that takes place every July. The population of Pamplona more than doubles as international visitors stream in to see the festival and bullfights, to partake in the party atmosphere, and to participate in the actual running (if courageous or foolhardy). Each morning at 8am from July 7-14, fighting bulls are stampeded through the narrow streets to the bullring and thousands of runners try to stay ahead of the bulls. The entire run takes several minutes down the 900-yard course and dozens are gored each year.

While the San Fermin Festival is the chief attraction for visitors, Pamplona has much to offer at other times. There is an attractive old town district that contains a graceful 15th century Cathedral, as well as some interesting museums with sacred artwork.

If you want a great party week lots of great people and lots of booze which you will need to run with those f***kin great big angry bulls. I loved the run so much I ran with them the next day. The festival is some time in July, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

I went there for the Running of the Bulls festival. What an experience! WOW. The city is beautiful, people very friendly. I loved how everybody dress in the same colors in the festival in red and white. And omg I had the best Chorizo I have ever had in Pamplona. I really want to go there again. it is a trip of a lifetime :)
