It is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160m over the surrounding plains. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintaings. The murals cover an area of 2,100 square meters.

The cave is also a must to visit in Dambulla. All the colored statues and good preserved and restaured paintings are breathtaking. Take at least one houre time to visit this place.
