The two of us got this contact through friends (als always in this country), his name is Kenneth and unfortunately that is all the contactinfo I have. (Probably he's well known in Nieuw Nickerie, though). He toured us around the Bigi Pan nature reserve in his boat, while showing us the different kinds of wildlife such as small alligators and birds. The house was, literally, on the lake. After swimming we opted to catch our own dinner. From the (many!) crab fish we caught we had an excellent spicy meal.
Under heavy mosquito protection we chose to sleep outside to be waken by the sunrise. Definitely an experience to never forget.
