The first question that springs to mind if it I not very cold to stay in a hotel made out of ice and the short answer is; no. Whatever the outside temperature the inside is never colder than -5 C, although that would be very cold if it was not for the boots, mitts, hat and snowmobile suit you are kitted out with when you check in.

There are so many exciting things you can do in the area, snowmobile expeditions, dog sled tours or helicopter rides not top mention just plain cross-country skiing.

The hotel is in itself magic with sculptures in ice, a church made out of ice and a bar where all the drinks are served in glasses that are made out of ice.

It is truly a once in a lifetime experience and a must-do!

Once in a life time trip, although partly to do with the price!! Well worth a visit - there's an ice hotel, an ice bar and an ice chapel where you can get married. Staying in the hotel is good fun and with all the right gear not as cold as you'd think. The downside is that's very expensive. The only two restaurants nearby are owned by the Ice Hotel and are very pricey and don't serve the hearty meals you want after a long cold day. Activities aren't included in the price and don't come cheap although we booked ours through a local company which offered a more competitive price.

The Ice Hotel was a great Experience, even if i say that was bloody cold of course, the marvelous feeling of being on that hotel was amaizing.
Imagine every single thing in the room made of Ice, impressive and yet unbelievable .

You have to visit this Ice Hotel and stay a night in specially design rooms with -5C . Be waked up in the morning after a good night sleep and knowing it is -30C outside.
