Oct 2, 2008 Vik Slott is in the middle of a lake in central Sweden. At sunset it looks entirely black, but the old glass that is left in the windows glows a special golden orange and it then reflects into the late. It is a very tiny castle and the most beautiful one I have ever seen. I keep going back every chance I get, and I first saw it in 1965. Don't miss it.To get there, drive south of Uppsala on highway 55 (Uppsalavägen) to Oresundsbrö. Then go east, and south of the lake. Ask someone, the road is not on this map. Have a glass of wine on the beach at sunset.... Related Links
