One of the most beautiful places in Lausanne, Ouchy is a wonderful place to spend a lazy sunday afternoon. Walk up and down the lake side, enjoy some Venetian ice-cream, organize a picnic in the nearby Parc du bourget, or visit the Olympic or Musée de l'Elysée. There are also some nice bike/roller blade lanes and wonderful areas to practice your favorite sport!

The castle of Ouchy is an old medieval castle that has since been converted into a hotel. A century later, it was rebuilt and transformed into a fortified residence for bishops, particularly for Guillaume de Varax. It was also used as prison.

very nice place to chill, have an ice gream (try the sweet potato ice gream from the venezia guy!!) and for people-watching.
especially in the evening there are lots of people walking around or sitting at the lake.

Beautiful in the summer when everyone is enjoying the sun by the lake. You see rollerbladers, kids playing and on carrousel, eating ice cream and boarding the boats and ferry's to travel across to Evian, France.

I love this place. It's quiet or busy, it's close to beautiful Palace, little castle, and Olympic Museum. It offers a nice place to wander and to take pictures. It has a taste of a permanent holidays.
