The atmosphere is great. people from all over the world. you don't necsesary need to buy a expensive tickets, as there are free concerts on different stages. however there are very famous singers, and then it is definitely worth to purchase a ticket.

Montreux Jazz Festival, in june, international scene, along the lake Leman with a beatiful view on the Alps right across the lake. Nice walks and amayzng viewpoints around. Enough to do in the city too.
