Oct 22, 2008 Ten awesome glacial waterfalls that fall inside of a mountain; catch the 500-person elevator up through the centre of the mountain to see the incredible power of the water. The water is the run off of the three big peaks, Eiger, Monk and Jungfrau , it carries 20 200 tonnes of debris a year and travels at a speed of 20 000 litres per second. Definetly worth a look Mar 6, 2009 The Trummelbach Falls (Trümmelbachfälle) is actually a series of several waterfalls that is mostly contained in tunnels inside the rock walls of the Lauterbrunnen valley. Springing from glacial runoff and melting snow, the falls carved their way through the rock. Later, the Swiss carved and blased stairs and tunnels so that you can see the falls from several different viewpoints both inside and outside the mountain. Prepare to get a little damp from the mist, but this is a must-see if you are in the area. The falls are absolutely beautiful. Oct 14, 2008 Tremmelbach Falls was amazing! Just to see how the melted ice from the mountains naturally made it's way through the rock! You will have to walk up about 225 steps..we did this with two small children and we were sore the next day! But the sight is worth it! I wouldn't suggest it for persons with health issues. All the waterfalls are inside a mountain and can't be explained! a must see!
