If you're a fan of medieval castles, than Switzerland is a great country! Since they didn't have wars of any significance lately, unlike the rest of the world, their old castles are all pretty well preserved.... and of course restored with Swiss precision where necessary !
Schloss Museum Thun is one of my favorites..... but you may also wish to drive down a little along the lake (Thuner See) to the town of Oberhofen. There's a great castle there too !!

We can see the castle miles away from Thun. It's on the top of a hill, above the historical city centre. In the castle, there's a museum, sometimes diffrent bands have concert in the 800 years old knight-hall and twice a year, there is the swiss-gothic-night!

During our roadtrip, approaching the city from the East, we saw the imposing castle on top of the hill. We walked to it without entering though. Very well preserved and a nice view of the lake.
