The Lindenhof in the old town of Zürich is the historical site of the Roman castle, and the later Carolingian Kaiserpfalz . It is situated on a hill, to the left of the L immat. Nowdays it serves as a recreational space, a green oasis and automobile free public space of the old historic city center. Its elevated position makes it a favorite point for tourists to get an overview of the geography of old Zürich.

this is my favourite place for chilling in Zurich. it's a little park in the center of the old village of Zurich, overlooking the Limmat river and the other old village part of Zurich. it's a wonderful place to eat your lunch, chat or enjoy a game of chess on a large playing board with a stranger.
