Tripoli or Trablous is among the oldest cities in the world. It's in the north of Lebanon and it was founded by the Phoenicians in 800BC.

It's Lebanon's second city. It is a major port, a commercial and industrial centre, and a popular beach resort.
In the old Souk you can see the manufacture of soap made from olive oil. and you can visit the Turkish Hammam.

The old city of Damascus still stands as it has done since the British mandate. Street markets, narrow streets, small nice cafes, the Ummayad Mosque, a castle, and Turkish baths are just some of the beautiful attractions within the high city walls. But the most amazing thing about that part of Damascus is the atmosphere! Calm, relaxed, chilling, even on the most stressed days you'll fell a slow of pace, walking around in the streets.

A very difficult city to get into, due to the israeli road blocks and check points. we had to sneak in over the side of a mountain.
During my stay here i witnessed the brutality of the israeli soldiers and the kindness of the palestinian people.
