National Palace Museum

This was by most the one place I most enjoyed visiting during my stay in Taiwan (besides the food of course!) although I am actually not a big fan of museums.You will find a lot of exhibits showing some of the wonderful artefacts the KMT took with them when they fled the mainland. Basically, it is a place to learn more about Taiwan's history.Since finding a place which sells some nice souvenirs might not be that easy, take a look at the museum's souvenir shop after you finished your tour.
