We drove past Hilltop Hotel and after that there were signs. It took us about 20 minutes by taxi from the train station.

This place totally took us by surprise. We didn't know how ready we were for some peace and quiet until we'd spent a day all on our own here : no touts, no hassle - not a sound. Except for the euphoric screaming after one of our party apparently walked right past a zebra (!?) Three months later I still find it pretty amazing to think of, it's like we just stumbled into paradise.

Drive thru 5 foot high grass to this out of the way, but very well-kept bungalow/camping spot. Cheap and more than worth it. 12-15USD a person
