After a tour of the town we were driven a little outside of stone town to the spice plantation. It looked like a jungle in there, and was very cool. We learned all about the different spices and fruits that they grow, with everything growing together in no particular place. For example pepper, which is a vine, was growing up mango trees. Everywhere you look there was something edible hiding around the corner. With us was a man with a machete who cut off plants to show us, who could make a pair of glasses out of a pineapple leave and a beaded necklace out of a vine. Very interesting and a very funny guide.
