This nice long beach is fairly quiet and remains more or less free of neon lights and other signs of over-commercialization. There are several resorts in the area.

The beach is right next to the main road so you have a lot of places to eat and shop. You can rent 2 sun banches and an Umbrela for 200 BHT and this is really a good investment because the sun is really creazy there. The big meduzas in the shallow wather are harmless - at least we were told like that ;) Look but perhaps do not touch. To spend the day there is really great! Enjoy!

Beautiful part of Phuket. More family orientated. Still has some very good bars if you are into nitelife but very tame compared to Patong Beach and Bangla Rd.
