This marine park covers a large part of the 400 square kilometer Ao Phang-Nga bay.  Protected by the island of Phuket, this bay features beautiful white-sand emerald-water beaches with massive granite rock formations, enormous mangrove forests, estuaries and tidal channels, limestone shrub forests and true evergreen forests, as well as more than 40 islands with huge vertical cliffs.  One of these islands (Ko Phing Kan) was used as the location in the James Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun" and has since been turned into a tourist trap full of vendors and dubbed "James Bond Island".  This island has some interesting cliffs and caves.  The park harbors some interesting animal species including the Bengal monitor (a large lizard that measures up to 2.2 meters long and looks like a crocodile) and the flying lizard, as well as  a number of sea snakes and viper species.  Several species of bird including the helmeted hornbill (largest of the hornbill species in Thailand with body length of up to 1.27 meters), the swiftlet whose saliva-nests are edible, and the white-bellied sea eagle.  There are over 200 species of mammals in the park including gibbons and crab-eating macaques.  Several small fishing villages are situated within the park as well.

Visit the absolutely breathtaking Phang Nga Bay! Take a longtail boat and see the the most beautiful nature of the Southern Thailand, the great limestone cliffs and mango trees. In the Phang Nga Bay you can visit the James Bond Island and the statue of Golden Buddha, get blessed by the Buddhist monk and do some canoeing in the jungle.
