This temple was built by King U Thon in 1357 and houses a very large chedi.  A group of Buddhist monks and nuns live there.

This temple is located a bit to the east of Ayutthya's town center, a bit of a way south of the train station.

Awesome ruins of the old Siamese Kingdom. The sights of the nicely preserved giant Buddhas are simply compelling. Just an hour's drive from Bangkok and a worth-while visit, together with other ruins in Ayutthaya.

Quite serene; there are many, many temples in and around the old capital of Ayuthaya, but this is my favorite.
