This mighty river is flanked on it's banks by 5-star hotels and some of Bangkok's tourist attractions. It is a fully-utilized waterway as people can ride boats to go to and from the different parts of Bangkok. Fare is very inexpensive and you save time by avoiding the traffic in the city's streets. If only our Pasig river can be the same.

The river is a great way to get around the city. You can see some famous cites in the distance. The commuter water taxis are cheap and come often. There are more expensive ones, so be sure to ask. usually you pay before you get on. I always looked forward to hopping on one to get to (or close to) my next destination.

If you want to see the city from a different view get on a boat and cruise down the river. You can get on a commuter boat if you want to save money or if you want a hour in private rent a long tail boat and they will cruise down all the little waterways of Bangkok.

I like the greenery on the river.

Also try the speedboats to get around the city. Especially if you have a hotel in Khao San Road you need the speedboats because the Skytrain is far away.
