This place was completely fascinating. It is one of only 2 in the world, the other being outside Sao Paulo in Brazil.  I have visited both and this one is really well set up and informative. Fascinating to watch the venom extraction technique they use and the museum is really informative.  Well worth and afternoon. But, beware the prices listed in Lonely Planet are completely out of date, Thailand has raised fees on many of its attractions.
