Get off the ferry and ignore where everyone else is going (to the right), you must turn left and just drive for about 20 minutes or so.

If you really what to get away from ALL the other tourists/travellers, when you get off the ferry and arrive on Koh Chang Island, you will see all the traffic turn right. You will need to turn left and just keep driving. This really will be a break away from everything. Very few people speak English (or any other language other than Thai) in this village.
