Prasat Meuang Tam is a beautifully restored Khmer Temple, located near Buriram in Northeast Thailand.
It dates back to the late 10th century and is extremely atmospheric. It is surrounded by walls, within which are four very beautiful lotus-filled ponds and has exquisitely carved gopuras.
It is a fairly small temple compared to others, but has to be the most picturesque of all the Khmer monuments in Thailand.
A visit here is easily combined with a visit to the impressive Khmer temple Phanom Rung.
