You have to see this - I did it twice but I found the party the day after at the 'Backyard' way better... and all the drunks of the fullmoon party are gone because they have hangover... ;) Be careful at the party, sometimes they can put you stuff into the drinks. It is easy to become a victim. Don't leave your drink alone while you are going to the bathroom. Drink it or order a new one! I met a couple of people who lost everything because of that and they cannot even remember... Also don't book room extreme close to the party in Haad Rien. Often rubbers break into the rooms especially when they on the first floor and steal all the stuff while the people party at the beach!!! Take my advice serious it does happen regular.

Full moon party? what is that? i can tell you... The full moon party is the party of the south, it is a huge beachparty where 1000 and 1000 of people gather to be foolish and let their minds blow out. On my travel i visited this party and litterly blown away. i got drunk so easy and met the famoues "bucket" its a childs sand bucket that is a mix a a small bottle of sangsom rum, and then they add a small bottle of red bull and tops it off with a can of cola... its priced at 300-400 bath that is a cheap price for this much alcohol. BUT beware, you easily get drunk and sometimes the vendors put a little extra inside the bucket if you know what i mean. me and my friend got a 5-6 hour memoryloss and do not remember the night. This is the reason, if you wanna go, to bring only cash. there are pickpockets here! My friend lost his wallet and camera on that but luckily we decided to leave everything else than enough for the night in our wallets. it was a night i will never forget, atleast what i remember. it is worth a try! trust me! Oh and another thing, if you go there be sure to book for a few nights before and after the full moon party, boats to the island are full and a hazzard at sometimes. Full moon party is at the 1 day in every month

Welcomed the new year in at a Full Moon party -simply Mayhem. Best night of my life! Stay away from any dodgy "shrrom shake" vendors as lots of people get either sick or ripped off. Also, organise a way back to Samui (if you're coming from there) before you leave, as the boats that pull up on the beach at the party are masisvely dodgy and to be avoided at all costs.

The BEST PARTY I've ever been to... Starting to party when the sun sets till the sun rises... and beyond! All kinds of people from all over the world come her to enjoy the beats, the shows, ... You haven't lived if you haven't been there!

ko phangan is very beutiful island with very good beaches.full moon party i think is very touristy but in the island there are a lot of parties that are much better than fullmoon like the one that is happen in the jungle.
