This enormous temple complex is the biggest wat in all of southern Thailand.  It is comparable to Bangkok's Wat Pho in size, and is believed to be more than 1000 years old.  It's maind chedi is over 78 meters high.

Getting there:
This temple complex is located in the south end of the city, about 2 kilometers from downtown.  Visitors can take a bus going down Thanon Ratchadamnoen, or take a sawngthaew.

the resort that time forgot. looks like something out of the 70's. very very quiet and amazing beaches. the place to go if you want to get away from everything. food isn't great and the only time in thailand (i've been 5 times) that i ever got food poisoning (and i'm a strict vegitarian!
