Tofua is an active volcano that is 500 meters high and offers excellent hiking opportunities.  You can take a trip to the shore of this uninhabited island and hike up to the crater rim in 75 minutes.  Along the way, you will see orchids and forests.  At the top is an ancient crater will a beautifully clear lake, and the red-hot caldera.
