Jan 10, 2009 It's a beautiful place near the Ocean with lots of local people. Of course there are many small shops and cafes. A great special is a beer brewery which brews by the german purity law . The beer there tastes a bit like the belgium stella artois. Not bad for the african ones. Also you have to visit the small shops at the side of the road. There are some tiny hand mand figures - just great! So all in all a place you have to visit. May 12, 2009 Hated it, sellers are rude and don't stop harrasing you, even when told to f**k off. If you have kids do not take them to the Medina, as with us our 8 year old was ushered into a shop, and basically held hostage until we brought some of his tat (of which we never). What should have been a fun, and entertaining afternoons shopping, was totally ruined, by most of the scum that work and own the shops. Nov 3, 2007 Been the first Médina I have visited in my vacation, I have good memories (and photos). There are a lot of souvenir shops in the souks, and the sellers are quite harrasing (like many other souks). The residential district is quite impressive, with all the decorated doors and the vegetations with a great sea view. Don't miss the cimetery on the east side of the Médina. Feb 15, 2010 Maybe because it was towards the end of my trip, but I found this area to have more pushy souvenir sellers than most places. I thought the fort was neat, and the beach was pretty, but I'd stay away from the shops there. Too "in-your-face"
