Incredible and impressive roman theater, still full. You can see the whole infrastructure in- and outside, easy to reach the roof where you have a wonderful sight on the city and the desert. You even could imagine gladiators and lions fighting in the arena. Worth !!

The Romans occupied Tunisia from 146 BC to the 4th C.
The theater dated from the 2nd century AD. It can accommodate 5000 spectators and is still in use. Each summer artists from all over the Arab world perform on this theater.

Do you remember the old nike tv spot in which popular football players were playing against demons? Do you? It was shot there! Smaller than the Coliseum but structurally better conserved.
