Visiting the desert is a must. A camel caravan takes you on a ride in the desert across the dunes to experience the Bedouin life. On the way, you can see: some palm trees standing majestically amid the desert, a few camels strolling gracefully and the soft sand whirling in frtont of you. You should wear a veil to cover your face to protect your mouth, eyes and ears from the sand carried by the wind.

Riding a camel in the desert of Douz is a must! Be sure to wear the traditional bedouin robe and the head scarf as it gets windy and sandy out there! Sunglasses are also a necessity.

Het is een mooie oase, ten midden van de zoutwoestijn. Alles is er rondom dor en droog. Maar daar is het mooi groen, en zuiver water.
