Ghost Town
It is not quite right to say that Kayakoy is an abandoned village as a couple hundred people still live here. But look up from the main street, into the hills and you'll see the reason for visiting here - a Ghost Town.

The Ghost Town is a bit of an understandably creepy place. A few random houses on the lower parts of the hills are inhabited again. You'll see some goats, camels, horses and chickens and roosters around. But mostly abandoned rock buildings scattered across the hillside. The scale of the abandoned part of the city, once called Levissi is huge. Worth a 1/2 day exploring at least, for the hiking to some parts of the village can be rough. A full day if you're into history and culture. You can do a day hike from Kayakoy across the mountains to Oludeniz if you're up for a challenge.
