Have you seen the Beach movie? This place is very similar. (without guns :o) Beach and peace and sand and butterflies (in spring), backpackers staying at tree-house or tent or under the clear sky. An delicious vegetarian food. What else? :o)))
Direction:
From fethiye take a minibus at 07:00 (this minibus is only 3-4 times a day). it takes about 1 hour and you reach the top of the valley. there's very nice place there called
George House. You have breakfast there (very
nice, organic food) and go down to the valley later on
around noon. it's about 20 minutes to go down, a little
bit difficult (especially with big backpack) but still
ok if you are carefull. many people are going up and down
everyday. i'll stay down in the valley just by the sea
until sunday evening and go up again, have dinner and go back to Fethiye to catch my bus back to izmir which is around 23:30 or 24:00.
down in the valley, you can sleep outside on the beach
with sleeping bag or with the free blankets that they
give from there.
there are also small wooden houses, platforms etc. to
sleep on.

other way to go to the valley is by boat from Oludeniz
but the earliest one is at 11:00, i want to go earlier
that's why i prefer taking the minibus and going
up (and to have nice breakfast).
we can meet in fethiye early in the morning on saturday
(just before 07:00) and go by the minibus together, if
it will suit you.

We stopped here for an afternoon during a Gulet cruise (a highly recommended experience). It was during a beautiful and warm April day. We hiked and swam in the area and I found it to be a lovely place, I could have spent more time exploring and relaxing here, but on this day that was not to be. This would be a great place to camp for a week or so. I do have some great memories and some darn good photographs.
