his collection in Ankara is one of the largest museums in the world The so-called Hittite Museum is one of the finest ancient museums in the world. The complex -- located in a former covered Ottoman bazaar -- covers the entire period of the first civilizations (around 7000 B.C.) up to classical antiquity, with an emphasis on the age of the Hittites (2000-1200 BC). The finds -- all from the territory of today's Turkey -- are presented in a clear and appealing way.
