Navegando pelo estreito de Bosphorus, que divide, nao so a Turquia como o mundo, numa parte Asiatica(cerca de 20% da Turquia) e outra Europeia, se ve ao fundo a cidade de Istambul com seus diversos minaretes.
Minaretes que equivale a torres de nossas igrejas estao presente em todas as mesquitas. Quanto maiores e mais importantas mais minaretes elas tem. Andando, a todo hora de seus auto falantes uma voz cantada em um so tom( lembra o gregoriano) convoca os muculmanos a oracao.
Andando pelas ruas ao ouvir esses canticos e impossivel nao remetermos a Deus, justamente porque ele nao so esta presente nesses lugares mas principalmente dentro de nos.

Great way to spend a day. The cruise that runs daily at around 10:30am is best and will stop for a good time to enjoy lunch at one of the smaller towns. The best scenery is on the Asian side so be sure to get a seat on that side of the boat. The cost for a roundtrip from Istanbul in September 2009 was 20 Turkish Lira.

One of the world's great cities, and a treasure trove of Byzantine architecture. Besides the church of the Chora, try to see Kucuk Ayasofia and some of the other 1500 year old churches that have been turned into mosques. There are a lot of fantastic Sinan mosques too. Architectural paradise.
