Dubai, can be a lot of fun, i think it all depend on what you are looking for.

Allthough it's an Islam country, it's the most liberal country in that region.
Everything which is forbidden by the Islam law, you can find within Dubai, and it's not even that hard!! Everything i have seen in Dubai is new, man made and well actually give me a "fake" feeling, if you look at the trees and plants, they all have watering systems, afterall it's the desert! Ooh, and if you want to fly cheap to Dubai, go in the summer, but do make sure you can stand the heat 50c is not uncommen there.

If you are into shopping and what to go for the SALE go around Januari, but do keep in mind there are still a lot of very expensive shops in Dubai (not all offcourse) :)

Best shopping I've ever seen. I didn't get to the gold souk (Sad Face!) but they have the most fantastic shopping malls. It was all very relaxed when I was there. I had a great time.

A fake city. Nothing to see there except the fakes the people there wants to built to attract business people to come.

very very very hot in summer! it is an interesting city but not a place to stay for long vacations..

shop till you drop..i always wondered and visit here made me realised ..it is actually TRUE.
