Historic place. Christmas Steps is a very steep street with steps, that used to go to the River Frome (now Colston Avenue). On the bottom you can find the oldest Fish'n Chips in town, the Chip Shop, and on the top the chapel of the Fosters Almhouses, The Three Kings of Cologne (now private property). Other shops include clothing, brides, photographers, music specialists, an art gallery, amongst others.

My friend Meryl has her beautiful shop at the top of the steps... she makes the beautiful porcelain lamps that she sells out of there. Worth a visit: both the steps and the shop!
