Cambridge university is the second-oldest university in the English speaking world.  The university was formed by an association of scholars who left Oxford after disputes with the townsfolk.

The whole city is an amazing place. The university itself, of course, is full of history and beauty. Enjoy the (free entrance) museums and their collections, the many many bookstores the architecture of the many colleges, have fun punting on the river! GO TO CAMBRIDGE! It's four star instead of five for just one reason ~ I have never liked Britain's cold, wet winters!

The entire university was a great place to visit, see, experience, and enjoy. It's an easy walk from Newmarket...or just as easy to take the bus...but walking is much more fun. Once there, just walking all around campus, along the river...it's just fantastic.

Best spot for students, and beautiful surroundings. Old buildings and churches. People are very nice and lots of pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended!
