Coventry was bombed to smithereens during WWII since it was the center of the British automotive industry and they built tanks, armored cars, jeeps and more there. Regrettably the astounding Conventry Cathedral was a victim and its loss prompted a "revenge" attack on one of Germany's most beautiful cities which had not strategic importance for the wat: Dresden. The rebuilt Coventry cathedral is a masterpiece.

When I went there the chorus was practising and someone played the organ. It was amazing. Unfortunately it was late in the afternoon when we arrived so we did not have enough time to see more.
