A great fairly new museum for all ages. Permanent exhibits are wonderful. Temporary exhibits great. In summer there are outdoor shows e.g. jousting/tilting. Coin operated machines allow people to try shooting different kinds of gun at targets e.g. rifle, machine gun, and also archery for youngsters. It has a cafe, accessible with lift/elevator. Makes a great day out. Leeds is on the way north from London to York/Scotland, so you can stop off in Leeds to visit.
