Jul 15, 2009 Its a great place, expensive but great - places to eat, shops to buy from, Museum and art gallery are really cool - plenty of interactive things to do, so great day out for kids at weekends or summer. All manner of ships to go on board - old ones so you can see how sailers lived on board for months at a time with no mod cons........ Dec 26, 2009 For me was it kind of the history of this city. I mean Liverpool has a lot of history, but there it was all together. And it's so nice, if you eat there in a restaurant you have a great view and the ambiance is very friendly. I adore the ocean, so that's the reason why its my favorite place. :-D May 20, 2011 A great place to go but just to let people know before hand, it can be a bit of a tourist trap. Some of the museums (e.g. "The Beatles Story") is actually quite expensive to go into (22 pounds for a ticket). However, there is a great view of the other side of the city from there. Aug 27, 2009 The Albert Dock was finished in 1846. It flourished for some 50 years then was abandoned and finally fell into decline before it was restored to the wonderful place it is today, with restaurants, bars, hotel, museums, shops and galleries. A must when in Liverpool! Aug 8, 2011 Amazing area of Liverpool, great to walk around on a sunny sunday afternoon, plenty of places to party, dine and explore. Couple of hotels nearby and a great casino along the docks. An amazing and great place to see.
