My second best place ever ! (After Tatra Mountains (Poland).:D )
Camden is like a cultural roller-coaster. You can find anything everywhere starting at the stables market (specially good for shop'o'holics) - ending at the "Little Venice" (for the ones who like to dream and for the romantics:)) .
Lived there for a while and I must say - that's the best place for everyone - young old people - specially artists.
Lots and lots of love in the air ! Have never seen such a place in those countries I've been too - many people shall say - it's too crowdy or too rough, but you have to see it on your own, and most definitelly -you'll love it ! CT is like a different city inside London - More United less Kingdom if you know what I mean :D Anyway - Camden rocks! (best place in London to buy vintage outfits and vinyl tracks!). At night best place to play and party - just go along the main road ... you'll definitelly find a place that fits you!
p.s. - While being on the Stables Market -you have to try the best soarsweet Asian made chicken with nuddles - yummi ! (at 6pm just before closing, it's only for 1 pound! - I've eaten that for all summer ! :D) Just go there and enjoy it ! :)

Camden town is a must see when visiting London! Especially Camden market! Check out the the Camden Canal Market and indoor fashion market located at the Electric Ballroom (opens only Sunday's), great places for shopping; from funky, rockabilliy, gothic, reggae-styles clothes to old records and food from almost any culture in the world. At night Camden transforms itself into a party zone. You can have a beer at the famous World’s end pub, go clubbing at the Underworld or Electric Ballroom which used to be great on Friday’s – Goth night!

Personaly, I'm not a shopper. I don't hunt for bargains and don't care much for brand names...... so obviously I spent 2 days in Camden market! It isn't like any market you can visit anywhere else in the world. This is the birth place of punk and the real soul of the London you warned your kids about! You don't need to buy anything here, just spend your day in the market setting of London's cultural melting pot, people watching is a must here so take your time. You can find virtually anything here, a belt buckle in the shape of her majesties face, hilarious tshirts, tie-dyed lamp shades, goth boots, a bong in the shape of a big boob, hey why not!? It's Camden baby YEAH!

For clothes, drinking and dancing this is my favourite place. American Apparel, All Saints and the vintage clothes shops are the places for shopping and Hob Salon on the lock have been sorting my hairdo for a long time now. Hache (next to Good Mixer) is the best burger restaurant I've EVER been to and I've had a lot of burgers in my time. The Good Mixer or Dublin Castle would be the best places for a pint, Hawley Arms is now full of celeb spotting idiots which is a shame. Koko has some great club nights for when you get chucked out of the pub and don't want to go home!

Best place in London...you need to go there. Just take the Northern Line to Camden Town get of there and turn right. Saturdays its really crowded but still worth it. If you go early or out of the sesion, you can get some really good deals.
There are of course a lot of tourist stuff, but also gothic, punk...
If you are looking for doc Martens or chucks, its the place to be. If you want to see some interesting people, just sit down have a drink and look.
You´ll find many different things to eat: Indian, Thai, Chinese, Italien...
