If you are in London and you want to take a break from all your sightseeing, then go to Covent Garden. You could get yourself a drink or something to eat (a jacked potatoe for example) and just sit down relaxe and watch the street artist. Afterwards you could have a stroll around thru the market.
You´ll also find here a Disney Store. The Museum Transport Museum is also located here.
The big Doc Martens shop is gone. So if you are looking for those you need to go to Camden Town or go to Carneby Road.
You get here by tube. Dont hesitate to take the elevator. If you dont do, you need to go a lot of steps by yourself. The tube is quite deep. If I´m not mistaken you have to take the Piccadilly Line.

Awesome place to shop or to have a bite. Every Thursday there is a market on the historic piazza of Covent Garden where you can eat paella out of massive pans together with others. Artist are performing all over the place and tasty stuff can be bought, such as cupcakes, cheeses, different kinds of meats and many more. Also the theatre are located here and one of the most renown hotels such as the hilton waldorf.

Whew, everything for everybody! The Victorian merry-go-round is my daughter's favorite and I like the sreet vendors and buskers, my wife likes the theaters and my boys, the food choices. If you can't find entertainment here, then you just aren't trying.
Good Journeys!

The area is dominated by shopping, street performers, and entertainment facilities, and it contains an entrance to the Royal Opera House, which is also widely-known simply as "Covent Garden", and the bustling Seven Dials area.
